The two Ukrainian troops advance into heavy fire, engaging with small arms and grenades, and find cover on the edge of the Russian fighting position. The leading Ukrainian soldier drops but stays in the fight and finds some defilade. The ensuing tussle for dominance plays out at spitting distance.
