Prior to setting his house on fire and shooting himself, Joseph Quintana injured two police officers in a hours-long standoff in 2019.

Police said the two male officers who were injured after responding to a shots-fired call in the 600 block of Inca Street were in fair condition at Denver Health Medical Center as of 8 p.m., about two hours after the standoff ended.

The two wounded officers were reported in fair condition shortly after the incident.
