The new documentary "Apocalypse '45" highlights the last year of WWII in the Pacific Theater, using never-before-seen color footage the has been remastered into stunning 4K.

The documentary is said to be very raw in its presentation of some of the most brutal warfare ever fought. It is also laden with various interviews with veterans that fought through it.

The film will be released on the Discovery Channel at a yet to be determined date.
