AH-64 Apache gun cam footage from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) shows rotary wing close air support provided to friendly ground troops in contact.

The audio suggests that the Apaches responded to requests for CAS, but once on station were having trouble gaining comms with the unit in contact. They are able to see muzzle flashes originating from a window of the hostile building, but first need to confirm their target.

They are finally able to reach the troops on the ground who confirm the target, and the Apaches begin working the enemy firing point with missiles and 30mm chain gun rounds. The rounds are accurate and the enemy fighters are either killed or break contact.
