The Ukrainian 93rd Mechanized Brigade released a video claiming to have shot down a Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopter with a 9K338 Igla man portable air defense system (MANPADS) surface to air missile.

The distance to the target helicopter and low quality video makes it impossible to confirm the report. The Ukrainian tactic is to hide and wait just inside the woodline where detection by thermal scanners and aerial drones is inhibited by the dense foliage. When the time comes to strike, they step out of the forest just enough to clear any blockage or obstacles. They fire and withdrawal back into the undergrowth.
