Airstrikes Take Out SA-6 Surface-To-Air Missile Battery

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) released a video showing a series of airstrikes, some of which targeted a reported SA-6 "Gainful" (2K12 "Kub") mobile surface-to-air missile system.

The SA-6 system includes several vehicles, i.e. launcher vehicle, radar vehicle, ammo vehicle, etc. The footage shows the systematic destruction of the various components. Although the surface-to-air missile system is of Russian/Soviet origin, the Houthis likely received it from Iran. According to CENTCOM, Houthi forces used the missile system to shoot down a USAF MQ-9 Reaper drone on Jun. 6, 2019.
