FLIR footage from the 2nd Karabakh War reportedly shows an Armenian 9K33 Osa (SA-8 Gecko) air defense system firing two missiles and shooting down an Azeri loiter munition (suicide drone).

However, the first missile appears to miss its target and the video cuts out before we can see the fate of the second. The drone also appeared to be in its diving attack posture, rather than falling out of the sky. The effectiveness of the Soviet-developed air defense system is inconclusive for this incident.

The 9K33 Osa (SA-8 Gecko) is an interesting air defense system as it is typically mounted on a fully amphibious six-wheeled light armored all terrain vehicle. The system is fielded by both the Armenians and the Azeri militaries.
