82nd Airborne Troops, Last US Troops To Leave Afghanistan

Published Sept. 1, 2021

A small, simple compilation of troops boarding and exiting a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, personally, has never carried so much unknown, indescribable emotion. Something many of us may have personally experienced, whether it be yourself on that plane, a friend, or a loved one, this was the LAST flight out of Afghanistan.

Over the past twenty-years; TWO entire decades, this war has been a part of and impacted nearly every American and Allied forces life, directly or indirectly. Well this; this one minute and twenty eight second video, is video evidence that the United States of America, no longer has a military presence in Afghanistan.

The footage seen was provided by Senior Airman Brennen Lege, which captured the moment the 82nd Airborne Division, the last U.S. troops present at Hamid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan, boarded their flight, and headed to Ali Al Saleem Air Base, Kuwait. As of August 31, 2021, America's longest war has come to an end.

Never forget.
