246th Marine Corps Birthday Message - Prowess Defined

Published Nov. 4, 2021

The Commandant and Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps have released the 246th Marine Corps Birthday Message. The message is loud and clear, the Marines are ready for a conflict, even if America isn't.

This year has been a hectic one for the United States as a whole. For the Armed Forces, it's been quite a bit rougher as we've seen the total collapse of the Afghan Government we spent twenty years propping up. With the fall of Afghanistan, and the complete removal of U.S. Troops from that region, ground combat operations for conventional forces have come to a complete end, marking a paradigm shift in warfighting tactics for everyone in the Armed Forces.

This is nothing new for the Marine Corps, and Commandant Gen. David H. Berger is making a loud and clear statement with this birthday message. The Marine Corps, while following the orders of the officials appointed over them, will remain ready to wage war on behalf of the United States of America and her allies. They will do this with the same prowess they always have.

Happy birthday Marines. Stay ready.
