This newly-released footage from celebrated Israeli photographer Ziv Koren shows just how close he and his press team were to the IDF response operations during the attacks of October 7, 2023. Koren is particularly well-known for his coverage of IDF units and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, having begun his photojournalism career in the IDF. In 2000, one of his photos- coincidentally, an Israeli bus destroyed by a bomb- was selected as one of the 200 most important images of the last 45 years. This footage demonstrates the risks to which war and humanitarian crisis journalists expose themselves, in order to keep us informed.
