GoPro footage released by the Israeli Defense Force captures the moment a Hamas fighter attempts to ambush a pair of IDF infantrymen from the opening of his tunnel system. The IDF troops respond immediately by opening fire and maneuvering to the entrance so they can toss a frag grenade inside.

The IDF troops are members of the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion. According to internet rumors, the man wearing a GoPro is either a platoon or company level commander with the unit, but we are unable to independently verify those claims at this time.
