Russian Self-Propelled Gun Detonates

Russian footage of one of their own self-propelled guns erupting a ball of fire. The vehicle is driving and trailing smoke when it explodes, though the cause of the initial damage is unknown. Perhaps it was struck by a munition, or perhaps propellant caught fire inside the vehicle. The 2S5 Giatsint-S is a 152mm self-propelled gun with a relatively long range and high rate of fire. Like other artillery systems, the 2S5 is a high priority target for Ukrainian HIMARS and drone operators.
